Dog leaking brown gooey stuff?

Last Thursday we had my dog fixed. Everything has been fine but for the past two days there's been this red/brown gooey stuff that randomly leaks out of her butt. It's not poop either and it's not a whole lot when it happens. Is this just a side effect from having her fixed and it'll just pass or is there something seriously wrong?
