Labia majora swollen on one side.. help?

im literally so fed up. i had a small boil in the area an absolute age ago and ive had swelling on that side ever since. it looked like it was going down a bit but then came back. i had a tiny one again recently but now thats gone too, the swelling however is persisting, its been 8 months. i feel like im going to be stuck with this for the rest of my life. my doctor said its not scar tissue and it will clear up once my bodys cleared the infection, i mentioned its been there a long time she said sometimes it takes a while.... its already been 8 months, does it need another year or something? anything i can do? :( ive tried antibacterial soaps there, epson salt baths, heat, cold, it wont go away urgh.
