Sorry to have to say this, but he doesn't really sound interested in you, does he? You might have even mistaken the smile and wave for someone who was behind you? If he's ignoring you both online and in school, it's because he doesn't want to speak to you. It sounds as though the smile and wave was intended for somebody else! Sorry!
